Snow helps us to learn about the animals who remain active during the winter months here in the Eastern Sierra. I have created a story based on my interpretation of these tracks in the snow. We came upon the tracks as we hiked to Ruby Lake out of Little Lakes Valley, near Crowley Lake, CA. I see a small bird walking away from the bottom of the photo. I see a small animal, maybe a fox, following the bird tracks. What happened to the bird? We will never know.
