My Story

I like to tell people that I was a casual photographer until I purchased a point and shoot camera for my husband and then promptly absconded with it to record the hikes we enjoyed while living in Upstate New York. Those snapshots led me to the serious pursuit of capturing and sharing the beauty of wilderness through my photography as we continued our quest to become Adirondack 46ers and to climb the Catskill Highest Hundred peaks in New York State.  I learned to see with a more critical eye and to understand about “chasing the light” which further enhances the beauty of the landscapes around me.  Since moving to California and the Eastern Sierra, my photographic interests, although still focused upon wilderness landscapes, have expanded to include macro photography (flowers and plants), wildlife (birds and animals), and travel photography.

My photos have been published in newsletters, newspapers, digital journals, magazines and in 4 books.     I have also sold matted, framed photos in regional photo gallery shows.
