The Pacific Crest Trail “High Route” out of Agnew Meadows in Inyo National Forest, Eastern Sierra, CA, passes by a glorious lookout with views of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range, Shadow Lake and waterfalls below. We hiked the 3+ miles up 1155′ from the Agnew Meadows Trailhead to this viewpoint. I zoomed in with my camera for a closer look at the Lake and a series of waterfalls. We drove down into the Meadow in the early morning and found the parking lots almost full. Many people, understandably, want to camp, hike, backpack and fish in this idyllic corner of the Eastern Sierra wilderness.
