Horsetail Falls is reached by a continuous ascending trail starting at Twin Lakes, outside of Bridgeport, Eastern Sierra, CA. We passed by a series of smaller waterfalls on the way up. Our friend repeated several times, “the best is yet to come,” and she was right. Horsetail Falls cascades down several steep rock outcroppings separated by trees. We paused only a few moments after taking photos since the temperatures that day were in the 90’s. Jumping into the cold mountain water beneath the falls would have been so refreshing!
