I went back into some of my archived photos to find this striking image. Many photographers take photos from this exact spot on a bridge near the marina. I managed to get this sunrise shot at 4:45am. It pays to get up very early!
Convict Lake is a popular destination for tourists. There are opportunities to picnic, to hang out by the lake shore and to hike around the entire perimeter of the lake. I was even privileged to take photos for friends who held their afternoon wedding along the Lake shore. The mountains surrounding the Lake provide a magical setting. I never grow tired of visiting Convict Lake.
